The plant’s name is called “makahiya” and hiya in Tagalog means “shy”. whenever you touch the plants’ leaves, they immediately fold up together looking as if it’s really shy hence the name. I loved touching them when I was a kid! Rare to find the plant these days. Via It's simple like a mountain is simple.
